Celebrating Avila House Week

Last week we celebrated Avila House Week in the spirit of our House Matron, St Teresa of Ávila — a woman of courage, prayer, and deep compassion.

The week was filled with energy and connection:

• On Tuesday, students took part in a spirited 3x3 House Basketball Challenge.
• On Wednesday, Avila House gathered for a beautiful Community Mass, celebrated by Old Collegian Fr Bernie Lane.
• And on Thursday, the House came together for a fundraiser barbecue, raising valuable funds for our partners at Helping Hands Mission Op Shops, Airport West.

Moments like these remind us of St Teresa’s enduring vision — to support one another in community, nurture a life of prayerfulness, and put our faith into action.

A heartfelt well done to all involved, and a special thank you to Avila House Captain, Marcus, for his leadership and enthusiasm throughout the week.
