Each year our consideration of College Tuition Fees is in part influenced by significantly less than real terms economic growth in College Commonwealth and State Government funding which currently comprises 50% of the College revenue (College tuition fee revenue contributes to the balance). This ensures we have sound financial foundations to support educational and development needs and choice for our students.
St Bernard’s College maintains a compulsory 1:1 3-Year laptop program enabling students to enhance learning and research skills using technology. New Laptops are issued in Years 7 & 10 for use over the 3-year period. An annual Laptop Program fee is charged per student and includes accidental damage insurance (excesses apply). If entering the program at a year level not Year 7 or 10 an arrangement will be made with each individual family.
The College sources an appropriately specified model for an annual fee charged per student so that at completion, either the end of Year 9 or Year 12, the device is ‘gifted’ with ownership transferred to the family, providing fees are up to date. A Year 10 student will automatically re-enter into the program with a new laptop supplied. Any student that leaves the College prior to the completion of the laptop program term (3 years) will be invoiced for the remaining time of the program and will have the device ownership transferred along with the remaining insurance once paid.
These programs are compulsory for each student at Years 9 & 10 respectively and offers the students a unique extra-curricular experience.
The Edmund Rice Foundation works to support the vision and mission of the Christian Brothers in the developing world and among socially and financially disadvantaged children, youth and families within Australia. This is made possible through your voluntary contribution, which will be included in your fee statement.
If you do not wish to contribute, please email the Finance Department or simply short pay your account by $120 to initiate a reversal. Please note that this contribution is not tax deductible.
For some students that chose a vocational education study offsite (VET Course), there is a requirement to contribute a levy to assist the College fund the full cost of the course. The cost to the College per student for VET subjects and the Baccalaureate program is well above the contribution levied.
If the ‘Compulsory’ Fees and Charges are paid before or on close of business 13 February 2026, an Early Settlement Discount of $475 per student will be applied.

The fee is $550 per student.
