Edmund Rice Day: Sawubona - 'I See You'

For over 25 years, St Bernard’s College has walked alongside the ERCEC community.

In the spirit of Blessed Edmund Rice, we believe education is a liberating force, one that breaks cycles of poverty and opens doors to possibility.

In Kenya today, more than one million children of primary school age are out of school, not because they lack ability, but because they lack opportunity. At Edmund Rice Catholic Education Centre in Embulbul, over 75% of students rely on sponsorship just to be there.

As we prepare for our Edmund Rice Day walk tomorrow, we walk in solidarity with our sisters and brothers in the ERCEC community, and we offer not just our funds raised, but our recognition, support and solidarity.
