College Accountant / Finance Manager

St Bernard’s is a vibrant learning community providing holistic boys’ education with a strong focus on academic excellence.

We are seeking a College Accountant / Finance Manager (Depending on your experience) to drive change, while providing the College with accurate and timely financial information. This opportunity will allow you to work closely with the leaders within the College, aiding and guiding all financial impact. Working closely with the College Business Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Supervise three members of the finance team.

  • Monthly and annual reporting.
  • Be responsible for the financial audit.
  • All Government returns (BAS, FBT, Census).

The successful applicant will demonstrate the following competencies and qualifications.

Must have

  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Commerce or equivalent.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude and able to take on board new tasks and responsibilities when required.
  • Able to communicate with financial and non-financial staff.

Desirable

  • CPA or CA qualification, or studying.
  • Education experience.
  • Synergetic experience.
  • Management experience.
